Every Family Has a Story Worth Keeping

Homegoing

Simple. Personal. Meaningful.

How It Works

Four simple steps, and we’re with you the whole way.

  1. 1
    Pick a piece

Start with the moment you’re honoring: a homegoing, a wedding, a reunion, a graduation.

  2. 2
    Tell us about them

Send their name, a few photos, a note in their handwriting or a voicemail you saved. We’ll help with the rest.

  3. 3
    See it first

We send you a proof. Nothing gets engraved until you love it.

  4. 4
    We make it by hand

We engrave it, fill it with gold, box it up and ship it to you free.

About us

We Keep Your People

We’re a Black-owned business in Alabama. Some of the most precious things a family owns are a funeral program, a handwritten recipe or an old voicemail you can’t bring yourself to delete. We started Etched Legacy to give those things a home.

Every piece we make starts with a conversation about the person you love. Then we make something worthy of them, by hand, one at a time.

Paved the Way

Honoring Those Who Came Before

Etched Legacy is a Black-owned business built on remembrance. Every week we share the story of a pioneer who paved the way, especially the ones the history books left out, and we help families honor the pioneers in their own family tree.

The Paved the Way Scholarship

Each year we award a scholarship to a Black high school senior or HBCU student who tells the story of an ancestor or unsung pioneer who paved the way for them. A share of every order funds it.

Applications open February 1, 2027. The winner is announced on Juneteenth.

Never miss a date that matters

Tell us a birthday, anniversary or remembrance day and we’ll send a gentle reminder a few weeks before, with gift ideas. No spam.
